Entry Instructions for 2012 Falcon Relays
Deadline for entries is Monday, March 12 at 7:00p in Athletic.net
Please Read Carefully before entering your athletes!
Every school is guaranteed a lane in the relays. Individuals will need to qualify for the individual events: 100m, 100HH/110HH, 300LH/300IM, 400m, 800m, 1500m, pole vault, high jump. Each school may enter up to 3 people into each field event (however pole vaulters and high jumpers must meet the cut to get in).
Some events are split into Division 1 and Division 2 schools. The list of Division 1 and Division 2 schools entered is below. Please be sure to enter your athletes into the correct division when appropriate. Athletes entered in JV races are NOT allowed to compete in varsity races.
Track Relay Events (except the 4x800 and DMR)
Every school is guaranteed a lane in the relays. The relay events are split into Division 1 schools and Division 2 schools. Please be sure you enter your athletes into the correct division for your school (see table above). Some relays events have both varsity & JV races, some have varsity only and one races is JV only (sprint medley). Athletes entered in JV races are NOT allowed to compete in varsity races. Check the list of events above for clarification.
4x800 and DMR
The 4x800 and DMR will be run combined Division 1 and Division 2, so you will not need to specify your division for these races. Medals will, however, be awarded by division at the meet. B teams will be accepted.
Individual Track Events
The standard non-relay track events (100m, 100HH/110HH, 300LH/300IH, 400m, 800m, 1500m) are individual events and are NOT separated by Division 1 and Division 2. Athletes must make the cut to be entered in these events. There will be 2 heats for each event (except the 800m and 1500m). Please submit honest times. We will have a list of alternates.
Throws and Horizontal Jumps
The throwing and horizontal jump events are split into Division 1 and Division 2 schools - please enter your athletes in the correct division. Each school may enter up to 3 athletes in each of these events. Be aware that the fields will be broken into flights.
Vertical Jump Events
The high jump and pole vault are individual events and are NOT split into Division 1 and Division 2. Athletes in these events must make the "cut" to get in these events. Each school will have 1 automatic entry, but enter up to 3 athletes. We will have a list of alternates. Starting heights will be determined after the fields have been seeded.

Divisions: 16 teams in two divisions; Boys and Girls
Fees: $300.00 for both teams total
*Do not send any fees until your entry is confirmed
Relay Events: All teams given one lane in each relay event – multiple teams OK in distace realays.
Medals: 1-4th place.

Welcome to this year's Falcon Relays!
We have a great meet in store for you, with excellent competition, plenty of good food (including Falcon Relays chicken kabobs), a comfortable atmosphere with room to move around, and enthusiastic meet announcing. Come on out and enjoy the meet!
Heat Sheets: . . . Will be posted the week of the meet.
Admission: Adults: $6, Students: $4, Under 12: free!
Gates Open: 8:30 a.m. Meet start: 10 a.m.
Snack Bar / Lunch: Large selection of food and drinks at the snack bar
Medals: Relays and laned running events: 1st - 4th; field events, 800, 1500: 1st - 5th; Team Scoring: 1st and 2nd place per division
Directions: Take Interstate 5 to Del Mar Heights Road, go east 1.1 mile, past Carmel Country Road. Entrance to the school is on the left, at the signal.

Schedule of Events / Event Check-In Instructions:
All athletes must check-in prior to their event: track athletes at the Clerk's Tent, field athletes at their event area.
Check-in will OPEN 60 minutes prior to event start time, and will CLOSE 25 minutes prior to event start time. Athletes who have not checked in by the closing time will be scratched and their spots given to alternates in the order of their seeding.
